Visitor Visa Australia (Subclass 600) Tips

9 Tips for Applying for a Visitor Visa Australia

1.- Show Strong “Genuine Visitor” Intent: You will need to prove that you will go back to your country after your visit. Documents such as an employment letter, business ownership and family ties should be presented. Refusal risks increase if it looks like you might plan to stay in Australia.

2.- Provide Financial Evidence: You must present proof that shows you can support yourself while you are visiting Australia. Documents that should be presented: bank statements, savings balance, or any family members in Australia who will be helping you while you are in the country.

3.- Writing a Strong Cover Letter: You will have to clearly explain the reason you want to visit Australia. For example, the purpose of your visit, travel dates and plans, who is paying for the trip, and why you will return back to your country. It is always best to keep it simple and honest, try not to complicate it.

4.- Have a Travel Plan: At this stage, you should not book flights yet. You can show the dates you plan to enter and exit Australia, the places you plan to visit, and accommodation such as hotels or details of your host.

5.- Consistency Across Documents: All details provided must match, for example, genuine visitor intent, financial evidence, cover letter and travel plan. Refusals usually happen if inconsistencies are found.

6.- Travel History: If you have visited other countries in the past, it might be worth mentioning, as this can be helpful.

7.- Invitation to Australia: If someone in Australia is inviting you, you can present an invitation letter written by your family member or friend, their visa or residency proof, and financial evidence if they will cover all travel costs.

8.- Applying at the Right Time: Apply for your Visa in advance, 1-3 months before travelling. Avoid last minute applications unless it is an emergency.

9.- AVOID submitting fake documents: Your application will be automatically refused and a possible ban from Australia.
