Student Visa Australia (Subclass 500) Tips
Tips for Lodging a Decision-Ready Student Visa Application
To help avoid delays and improve processing times, ensure your application is complete and accurate before submission.
Confirm that your full name matches your passport exactly. Be careful with spelling errors and automatic corrections.
Include any previous names or aliases you have used and provide supporting evidence where required.
Double-check that your date of birth is entered correctly using the format DD/MM/YYYY.
Review the required supporting documents using the relevant document checklist before lodging your application.
Ensure you provide sufficient evidence to demonstrate that you meet the Genuine Student requirement.
Upload a valid and current Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE).
If proof of English language proficiency is required, include the appropriate test results or supporting documents at the time of application.
Any documents not written in English must be accompanied by a certified translation. For translations completed overseas, provide the translator’s contact details and qualifications.
Respond to any requests for additional information as soon as possible. If you are unable to provide a requested document, explain the circumstances and we will notify the Department.
Submitting a complete and accurate application from the beginning can help reduce processing delays and increase the likelihood of a faster decision.
