Visitor Visa Australia

If you are planning to visit Australia, most travellers must obtain an Australian visa before entering, depending on their nationality, purpose of travel, and length of stay, whether for tourism, business visits, or family reunions.

Australia is a popular destination for tourism, business visits, family reunions, and working holidays. Most travellers must obtain a visa before entering Australia, depending on their nationality, purpose of travel, and length of stay. Common short-term visa options include the Visitor Visa (Subclass 600) for tourism or visiting family, the Electronic Travel Authority (Subclass 601) and eVisitor Visa (Subclass 651) for eligible passport holders, the Medical Treatment Visa (Subclass 602), and the Working Holiday Visa (Subclass 417) or Work and Holiday Visa (Subclass 462) for young travellers wanting to work and travel in Australia.

Whether you are applying for an Australian visitor visa, ETA, eVisitor, medical treatment visa, or working holiday visa, it is important to meet eligibility requirements and provide accurate supporting documents. As a Registered Migration Agent, we assist clients worldwide with Australian visa applications, eligibility assessments, and full compliance with Australian immigration law.

Types of Visitor Visa Programs:

  • Visa Subclass 600

If you hold this visa, you can travel to Australia to spend time with family or friends, explore the country as a tourist, or enjoy activities such as holidays and cruises. It allows visitors to experience Australia for leisure or personal reasons that are not related to business activities or medical treatment, making it ideal for short-term visits and tourism. The visa is normally granted for up to 12 months, allowing multiple trips during its validity period, although each stay is usually limited to shorter periods as specified in your visa conditions.

  • Visa Subclass 601

This visa allows you to travel to Australia to visit family or friends, enjoy a holiday or cruise, and take part in certain approved business visitor activities. It is designed for short-term stays and typically permits you to remain in Australia for up to three months at a time, making it a convenient option for visiting loved ones, tourism and short business visits.

  • Visa Subclass 602

This visa allows you to travel to Australia temporarily to receive medical treatment or attend medical consultations. It can also be used if you plan to donate an organ or if you are supporting someone who is visiting Australia for medical treatment or organ donation. Depending on your circumstances, the visa may be granted for single or multiple entries to Australia.

  • Visa Subclass 651

This visa allows you to stay in Australia for up to 3 months at a time. During your visit, you can spend time with family or friends, enjoy a holiday or cruise, and take part in certain business visitor activities such as attending meetings or conferences. In some circumstances, the visa also allows you to study or undertake training for up to 3 months, making it suitable for short term visits that combine travel, learning, and limited business purposes.

  • Visa Subclass 417

The Working Holiday visa program allows young people aged 18 to 30 (or up to 35 for some countries) to enjoy an extended holiday in Australia while working to support their travels. The first visa lets eligible travellers experience Australia and take up short term work. Those who meet the requirements can apply for a second Working Holiday visa, and later a third Working Holiday visa, allowing them to return and continue their working holiday experience. Each visa allows you to stay in Australia for up to 12 months.

  • Visa Subclass 462

This visa allows you to stay in Australia for up to 12 months while enjoying a holiday and gaining short term work experience. You can take on temporary or casual jobs to help fund your travels, study for up to 4 months, and travel in and out of Australia as many times as you like while the visa is valid. You may also complete 88 days of specified subclass 462 work, which can make you eligible to apply for a second Work and Holiday visa. You may also complete 6 months of specified 642 which make you elegible to apply for a thirds Work and Holiday Visa.
