Employer Sponsored Visa Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for an Employer Sponsored Visa applicants must meet the requirements set by the Australian Government. Eligibility requirements vary depending on the required skills, experience and meet the criteria.

For a 186 Visa applicants generally must:

  • Be under 45 years old on the date you lodge the application

  • Be nominated for an occupation on the CSOL

  • At least 3 years relevant work experience

  • Have a relevant skills assessment

  • Meet English language requirements

  • Meet health and character requirements

For a 482 Visa applicants generally must:

  • Be nominated to work in an occupation from the CSOL

  • Be paid the (AMSR) and not less than the CSIT

  • At least 1 year work experience in your nominated occupation

  • Have a relevant skills assessment 

  • Work only for your sponsor

  • Meet English language requirements

For a 494 Visa applicants generally must:

  • Be under 45 years of age

  • Be nominated by an approved regional employer.

  • Have an occupation on the relevant CSOL

  • Have a relevant Skills Assessment

  • At least 3 full time years of relevant work experience

  • You must have gained your experience within the last 5 years

  • Meet English language requirements

  • Meet health & character requirements

  • Have no debt to the Australian Government

  • Sign the value statement
